Warm accommodations meet state-of-the-art amenities and meeting space in the Windward Inn, which offers 24 brand new, well-appointed rooms and communal space.

Perched atop Maroney Commons, the Windward is designed to give guests space to interact and meet in large, open hallways 15 feet wide and crowned with salvaged rooftops from local grain bins.

Guests have a choice of king or queen beds, with an ADA accessible option. All rooms include free wifi Internet access and use of the fitness center. Eight of the rooms overlook a rooftop garden featuring prairie flowers and grasses.

The Windward features a good sized gathering place built from chalk boards saved from old local schoolhouse and has skylights are repurposed from local corn cribs. In a gesture of hospitality, each room is named for a Miner County family. Visitors will enjoy the beauty and heritage of desks built from old siding boards from the former Legion Hall that stood at the site of the building.

The name of the hotel is inspired by Miner County’s own Andenas family and the story of their patriach’s journey from Norway to the Midwest.
